Our idea is really pretty basic. Find up and coming markets early with a wide net and then get the cheapest building with the most upside. For instance,  14 years ago, to say you invested in Austin was reasonable. Today it would be the specific neighborhood down to the best blocks. By the way, the only thing really up and coming now in Austin is East Austin.

Once we’ve identified a market, we’ll focus on two things: appreciation and cash flow income. Most of our buildings we hold or held for a minimum of five years to take advantage of the depreciation as well as increase the cash flow and quality over time. We are the only investors and we’ve used traditional financing to acquire our portfolio.
